and yup thats what is doing that.

maybe try something like saf-t-side.  you can get it somewheres around you. it will not be at home depot or lowes. you will need to find a chemical place but that will be very easy.

But seriously, there's several options. My old standby of neem oil seemed to work on the weevils I had a while back, but feel free and go to Home Depot to check on any alternatives if you feel like it.

He's implying to burn all the bugs to the ground. Flame throwers work well, but Joyner's would never wish death to pepper plants.

You were really close Emald, it's called Malathion :) Had to google it to make sure I got the proper spelling of it too since I knew what you were talking about
Checking online though, I read that it's highly toxic to bees as well as nasty bugs, so if you know bees pollenate your plants, may wanna avoid Melathion...

If you're into organic pest control, this may be worth a shot... May be a tad pricy, but it beats killing pollinating insects :)

Sorry bud, if it's that close to being "serious", then you should be thankful that's the biggest problem in your life right now. Listen to the folks here. They're trying to help you torch those bugs to the ground.... and life goes on. Wait until you can't afford to pay your house note... you won't give a doggone about those bugs.

too late.. i got them sprayed with the malthion crap.. good thing is all the flowers fell so by the time i got pods it'll be ok.. good thing is that the bugs are getting dealt with you know?  but i like the suggestion. ill definitely get that as well. lol
 
OK I think I found the culprit. I just picked some Carribean Reds and there were 4 weevils eating around the top of one. When i smashed it red stuff  came out. 
I had already sprayed for the stink bugs, now what for these A holes....Excuse, but the bugs are eating more peppers than me....
 
That'd definitely do it. Sucks that it happened. Go to Home Depot and ask around to see what works best for the pest... hey that rhymed!
 
When I have an insect problem, besides posting here, I like to contact the Bonide company. They always respond quickly to emails.
 
Just quick note... The Malathion works great... i mean it got rid of EVERYTHING... some of the leaves fell buti ts was the really damaged leaves with tiny brown spotson the bottom.  I used a small dosage but it worked well.  I did see some bugs on the wall of my house, but not on the plants.  I tried to identify those but nothign was on our register here.  At any rate.. malathion works well if you do not mind synthetic stuff and washing your peppers..
 
Well said: if you don't mind chemicals sevin dust or sevin spray will kill squash bugs and weevilsand a whole bunch of other stuff so be careful, if you into organic or all natural, been or garlic oil can do the trick!
 
Stink bugs definitely aren't good for your plants but the area missing on those pods looks too large to be the work of stink bugs.  Usually it's a worm/larvae that eats that much in one spot and it may even be in the pod still.
 
it's really not that serious. Do a little research and find a product that will deal with it. We are not splitting the atom here, just growing a few peppers. Hardly the end of the world.
