After a pretty poor season last year it's been a while since I posted any pics so here goes for 2011
Ok it was the 4th of Jan that I put seeds into dirt and I gave in and potted on for the first time (9/2/11)

Two made it ito the bin! They just were not up to scratch and I have others of the same type so no great loss.

On the same day as I was potting on a load of seeds from a member of another forum arrive, all of them black pods couldn't resist and had to put some in so 4 black annuum x chinese were planted, no sign of them yet!
 
Off the top of my head I have, fatalii, 7 pot, red savina, rocoto red long,e.devils breath, infinity (I know!) I'll check later and post the ones I've missed
 
Beauty! Do you mind sharing what kind of starter soil, what kind of pot up soil, and what kind of lighting (and how many hours per day)?

I know products will be different in the UK, but basic description would be helpful. Or even brand names if they have internet website.

Nothing special just bought a small bag of B&Q's seed compost (www.diy.com) used the same stuff to pot on, lights are just 2 11w household energy saver cfl's in a diy rig running roughly 16hrs

A started in january as opposed to november in the hope I wouldn't need lights but things got leggy so I had to knock this up

Thanks DaveT! Everything helps me at this point. I went to the diy.com website and poked around there a bit. Interesting you could get such great results from a soil mix for starting and potting up. Also fantastic lighting idea for those of us on a smaller scale.

More questions, are the temperatures in your growing area kept on the warm side? My plants (a variety of pepper annuums have been growing rather slowly and I'm trying to figure if it is soil, nutes, lights or warmth. Thanks again!
 
Dunno about temps as I never measure them!!!! The set up is in a cupboard under the stairs and there is a certain amount of heat comes of the lights but as to what the temp is I have no idea.
I don't even check temps when they are in the prop (it's unheated)
 
Those youngsters are looking pretty good. You must have a good "feel" for the tempearature in that grow area. No need for a thermometer, eh? :cool: Nice job!
