Daylight General Purpose LED - Walmart

Seems like I've seen this, or some other brand of it posted, and discussed but I can't find the topic anywhere. Sorry if it's redundant. Anyway, I bought a few of these from Walmart to test on growing seedlings this year. I'll probably start a few early just to experiment. Edit: I've got some seeds soaking now.
 
Has anyone had any experience with using them, and know if they are any good for growing? They cost around 11/12 dollars each.
 
1650 lumens, 100 watt (Edit: 15 Watt, 100 Watt Equiv. compared to incandescent), 5000K. I know LED effectiveness is often measured in PAR, and not sure how this bulb translates. Here are some pics.

2 would be about the same as a 4ft. fluorescent  bulb - actually a few more lm.
Use slightly less watts than a T8.
 
Should last longer if it isn't a Lemon...
 
I know people who use the LED spot lights (like you'd light your driveway with) in 5000 - 6500 K.
They worked very well for peppers.
 
probably ok for small plants/seedlings. problem if you don't use a reflector, much of the light is lost (scattered).
for growing bigger plants, have a look at a T5 fixture. the bulbs are cheap, around $8-10 and each tube puts out 5,000 lumens. homedepot sells a decent 4 bulb fixture for around 80.

no a reflector is not smth to worry about with these- they just rnt efficient enough 
 
I think I'm going to use the ones I have for supplemental light, or for seedlings. I have two hanging over my ghetto aerocloner now.

I just ordered my first HID light last night, the 400 watt Ceramic Metal Halide that htgsupply sells. Planning to experiment with some indoor growing soon.
