food Deer Chili

Well I'm making some deer chili with a package of 7 pod powder from Aram.

I roasted 2 tbls of cumin, coriander and seseme seeds. ground that up.

sauteed some garlic and onion.

browning the deer.

will add some water and simmer for a while.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

Hmmmm. I'm out of oregano. I'm going to add some thyme, cinnamon, nutmeg and parsley.

It's still cooking. I was going to add some beans but I'm out. All I got is chana dal. This is quickly turning Indian. You know this 7 pod powder is pretty hot. I used about a tablespoon. Needs more garlic. Added beef stock b/s I'm out of salt.

Looks like a split pea but yellow. Closer to a chickpea.

I'm letting it simmer for a while to let everything work together. Hopefully in a half hour it will be edible.

Mmmmm this is particularly hot. But it taste great. The chana dal gives it a nice crunch.

All it needs now is some Kidney or Pinto beans
