preservation Dehydrating Question

Hi all!
 
I'm wondering what happens to the oil when one dehydrates a pod. I'm afraid of losing that precious nectar. Thanks for any information. 
 
Some of my peppers have small pools of oil when i open them. This is the oil I'm wondering about. I make spicy salt so I'm considering using salt to absorb the oil before dehydrating unless the oil is not lost in the drying process.

I like to 1/2 pods and dry them cut side up to allow the oil to dry into the pod or do what ever it is going to do...I can tell you many dried pods seem just as hot at least to me.
