soil Dfw area soil ingredients

I wanted to contribute something to this community. This forum has been a wealth of information for me. I had trouble finding soil ingredients locally though.
I found pine bark fines, mushroom compost, and lime at Lowe's. I found 2 cubic ft bags of perlite at Home depot. Both stores carry the peat moss.
Hope this helps some future pepper heads.

For clarification - you didn't use quick lime, did you? (hydrated lime)
.
It's better to use dolomitic lime.  Ag lime can be used.  Even better options are oyster or egg shell.
.
But absolutely never quick lime.
