Different Strains

I'm just starting out on the super hots and am currently waiting on an order from CCN. My question is: where do you guys get the seeds or plants of all these different strains. I've seen/heard of the Brain Strain, Barrackpore and there's a hundred others im sure, but how does one go about getting seeds to some of these strains (I'm assuming they are hybrids of some kind)?

Thanks,
Vincent

Different people on here have different strains. Usually at the end of the season, in the US, you will see people offering seeds and what not. Just keep an eye out, and you will have more types than you know what to do with SOON!

Ok, Excellent, I'm by no means asking for hand-outs either, I just want some of these crazy names/strains that I have seen people planting on their grow logs

Just make sure you treat people on this site nicely, and people will be MORE than willing to extend their hands to help out a fellow chilli-lover! I know some of the guys over in Australia are at the end of their season. I think some are even seeing snow. As far as people in the U.S., most won't have any good amounts of seeds for another month or two. Shoot, I'm just NOW starting to see flowers set on my White 7 Pod. HOPEFULLY all of the others will follow suit!

PepperLover sells Barrackpore and others, Brain Strain is just last year circulating so you would need to trade somebody unless Cappy of PepperRidgeFarm is selling them again. Beth at Peppermania is excellent as well as Vladen at Rainbow Chile seeds. At the top of the Growing section there is pinned / locked thread with recommended seed sellers from all over. Oh yeah can't forget Hippy Seed Company from down under. Good quick shipping too.
Always trades going on later in the season as well as pods for sale by various members. Recommended!

Good luck Mike

One member here, who shall remain unnamed, has reached out to me with some seeds. Lots of good folks here.

Growing is a neat hobby.

Replied to your pm chilli brother, cover the cost of postage and i will send you what i can.
All i ask is that you pay it forward in the future.

Well I have ordered Choc Bhut, but I've never heard of Peach Bhut or Trinidad Hab or Burkina for that matter. As far as the bhuts go, is there a heat or flavor difference in the color variations? And I would like some of the Butch T, just cause I've heard so much about them, but I would feel bad just paying for the postage because I'm so new to this I wouldn't know how to "pay it forward". Like I have no clue how to save seeds from a pepper, otherwise I would love to help out anybody that needed helping. Also say if I were to get some seeds from you, since it's too late to plant them here in AL, would they stay viable until feb-march of next year when I started them indoors?

coheed...Seeds will stay good for years, as long as you take care of them. Biggest thing is to make sure they stay dry. Some people have different methods of storing. Just remember to keep 'em DRY!
"Pay it forward" just means when YOU have seeds that someone ELSE would like, do the same thing for them that someone did for you.
To remove seeds from peppers, just cut them bad boys open and proceed to remove the seeds. It's that simple! lol

Yea I guess I should've said I didn't know how to save seeds from peppers, I'll have to do some reading up on that. I knew what paying it forward meant I just didn't know of how to go about doing it haha sorry about the misunderstanding

I have a few BrainStrains dropping ATM. I dont have a problem saving some for you once I get a few that are ripe. Hit me up in 2-3 weeks and I should be ready pluck a few.
