Do you eat them green?.......

Have any of you just said "screw it" and eaten some of your HOT ones while they were still green because you couldn't wait?
I have been eating Pusa Jwala lately before they are ready, but my red carib habs are great when green (not as good as dead ripe tho.

Green Jalapenos are an affront against nature.

Last thing I ate green that I grew were the marconi peppers I had either last year or the year before. Didn't know they turned red.

So no, pretty much sucks waiting for them to ripen but it's worth it.

Yea it sucks waiting.... especially when you have FULL SIZED Fatalii on your plants that refuse to turn colors!!

Jalapenos are the only thing I'll eat when green. I tried a hab off one of my plants when green, just because I knocked it off the plant trying to look at something, and it had a terrible taste but the heat was there.

Almost all commercial chiles in Mexico are eaten both green and ripe....depends upon what you are using them for.

Try making salsa verde with red chiiles.

Unless it's the final harvest of the season when frost is hitting and I have no choice but to havest green ones, no, I wait until they are ripe.
