I'm pretty sure these are one and the same as our old favorite
the Naga Morich, all 4 Naga 'brands' are in fact one and the
same variety.

Check the links from my pages, especially the Agritech ones,
they too say that they are just different regional names for the
same plant.

Hopefully, DNA testing next year will clear this up once and for
all.

Im pretty sure there 2 different types.

Convince me...

From a random batch of Naga Morich I can produce pods that have
the characteristics of each of the 4 named.
If Agritech are convinced that they are one and the same that also
carries a fair amount of weight.
Only DNA testing will settle this (which we plan to do very soon).

Why do you think they are different?

Weren't there color differences found amoung growers in this forum? Some grower's pods matured to red but other growers had an orange variety (degraded after turning orange).

Yes, that was thought to be a difference but I have had red
Naga Morich from orange pods that came from Bangladesh.

The difference is that when left to ripen on the plant the
pods go a deep red. When imported the pods are picked green,
these green pods only ripen to orange. Naga pods are picked
green as they only last 2-3 weeks off the plant before going
rotten.

Try it with any chili, picked green the pod will go ripe, but
the color never develops the same as if it were left to ripen
on the plant. This is what happens with Naga Morich (Bih, Bhut,
Dorset...)

Member Muso2112 has them.

Nice work man, i am waiting to sow mine. Cant wait. Wouldnt mind getting some fresh pods off you try if that would be ok?

From my Dorset seed...I've seen some slight pod variation, but the color always goes to bright red. Same flower, and leaves, etc...

We shall see.
