misc Does Insecticidal Soap Kill Ladybugs Too?

Hi all,

I know I'm going to be fighting the aphids this year so I'm planning my strategy to keep the peppers safe. I want to use both an organic soap, such as Safers, and ladybugs, but will the soap kill the ladies too? Has anyone tried both at one time?

Thanks for any advice!

It might if it is sprayed directly on them. It will also kill the Ladybug larvae which is what you want on your plants because the larvae eat more aphids than the Ladybug does.

If they don't have enough to eat you can make food spray for them. I have a recipe posted somewhere which includes brewer's yeast, water, and a sweetener(I can't remember at the moment if its honey or molasses)
