That's gotta be the longest grow list I've seen in a while...WOW! You're definitely gonna have your hands full this year.

That is an impressive list! I guess these are for seed stock for your website? I wouldn't fancy isolating that lot

all op and yes for the site.isolating lol thats for the birds and bees. crosses are rare, and what nature intended.
Interesting point of view.

500-1000 plants of 125 or so varieties?
That's quite an ambitious grow.
Here's to getting that under control

That is a very large list. My plan will be to grow 4 to 6 varieties and probably 5 or more of each variety and Isolate so that I can pick the best plants and pods for seeds, that way I can share the bounty. :P
I hope you have a great season. :onfire:

I undretsand that everybody dont agree with growing out to many strains. and what I do ...is between me and my plants. Most peppers are hybrids of some sort. unless you only grow one strain for 7 years, your seeds aren't pure. thanks for the comments but this is a grow log not a discussion on isolating.

Don't take offense, my friend, none intended, nor disagreement.
I meant exactly what I said. It is an interesting consideration, and
a topic of much discussion on the forum. We all have made our
own observations in the garden. If you don't want to start a
conversation, don't offer up an opinion.

Just my HO.

yep go big or go home, lol. we shall see

With that list you may not have time to go home at all! haha

Great list of massive variety. Looking forward to the end pics already, there is going to be some serious pepper porn going on there. Vlogs are awsome also.

Thanks for sharing your 2013 plans, we are certainly following and wish you great success.

Nice updated. Loads of growth going on now. Think they might go crazy once you have transplanted the bottom shelf, looks like a small forest already.

Looks great, DL! Very lush and healthy looking seedlings.

Keep up the good work.

Wow nice grow. But now I'm confused... are crosses rare or are most peppers hybrids?

You should start a new discussion with this question in the "Hot Pepper Talk" forum, you will get some different answers, not all of them correct.

Darn! So we can't discuss that we may disagree with you? Could we at least see some publication citations for some of those big statements? Sorry, I couldn't resist....... No offense intended!

most crosses aren't rare, depends how many people are growing them and have seed.

I wait intil they get 2 or 3 leaves before I transplant them. It helps with the change from no fert to a little fert. also helps me pick out the best ones.

Thanks! thanks for stopping by

You guys can talk about whatever. I'm not going to discuss breeding. I have seen and read my bit to know better and I think people into breeding should do the same.
