Yeah, that's not typically enough. I got a 35 degree reading , myself. Since my leaves were newer, they crinkled. But bounced right back when the new ones grew out. For us to lose leaves, you're generally gonna need below freezing for at least 2 hours.

At any rate, you should be seeing new growth soon. Be really careful not to overwater them. And being in the dry season, also make sure they don't go dry.
