Dot Com's 2014 balcony grow

just gettin' ye old Glog started as I have some over winters & this late sprout from last season that I crowned last week:

storms passed last week. I had to keep them indoors which was frustrating. Been good for the last week weatherwise so the plants could stay outside.

ate my first Primo ystrdy & it was the hottest pepper I've eaten this season. Small but exceedingly hot, right from the get-go. Usually, certain areas of the tongue are effected. With THIS pepper, the ENTIRE tongue was in flames  :fireball:  I went around 8 mins before I decided to put the fire out in my stomach w/ a yogurt. The heat was manageable in the mouth area, after that amount of time, but was afraid of possible stomach cramps so I ate the yogurt. Even when initially chewing it, I guessed it was going to be a real "kicker" :onfire:  because it released some noxious pepper fumes that made it even hard to breathe and that much more difficult to swallow :D

There's something about the name 'Primo'.  Doesn't sound like it would be wimpy on the heat.  You've confirmed that.

Great lookin' plant.

might pull my plants in later today due to weather. As far as growing progress, all are still in the unripe stage.

Thought I'd mention another taste testing I did ystrdy as long as my plants are still in the pre-ripening stage. I ate 1/2 of one of these, cut lengthwise. Like swallowing a lit-lighter. No nasal, prolonged hiccups, or watery eyes like the Primo, just straight up fiery heat. Like having lava drip down your throat:

What kind of pod is that one?

not sure as it wasn't labelled by the grower but you can see the prominent dimples on it which usually indicate, in my pepper-eating experience anyway, super hot crosses of some sort. I was guessing a Morouga?

As long as we're on the topic, just ate 1/2 one of these 10 mins ago. Lots of oil, as can be seen in the pic, but not as hot as the previous two peppers. Could be my tolerance is gradually increasing as well. Will have my own ripe peppers to eat in one week then continuing on throughout the season. Suspect its a Choc Scorp of some variety judging by the shape:

Barrackpore> This one I'm most interested in. Hope I can get some pods off of it. Going out of town for a week in late August/early September & hoping my roommate doesn't over-water it :( or I can get a pod off of it before that time. It did start flowering last week but no pod has "taken" yet.

other side of the superhot. This overwinter was a rag tag stick at the beginning of the season [see page #2 of this GLOG]:

might have to rent out a storage shed for all the pods on this 2nd-season overwinter :D Seriously though, this season seems to be somewhat better for me, all the way around (so far- fingers crossed), than last season.

supposed to be Yellow Brain Strain but I thought they were supposed to be "roundish", like a Morouga, as opposed to the elongated Bhut appearance.
