Sy,

You're off to a good start. I think you'll enjoy the Bolivian Rainbows, very pretty plants.

You'll remember my quest for a Kaffir Lime. My buddy in Miami found a nursery that had nice ones and brought me one about 4 feet tall. It had fruit on it when he delivered it last October. The fruit dropped off and it lost most of the leaves when cold weather hit. But it's still alive, and I hope it'll do well as soon as it warms up.

I've got chile seeds popping now, and I'll be starting tomato seeds soon.

I've had enough of winter, and there are 70+ temperatures in the forecast for next week. Bring it on!

Cheers,
Tom

Hey Tom,
Glad you got that Lime tree. It will come back in the spring. Mine was brought inside and thriving near an East-facing window.
I grew the Bolivian rainbow and Numex Twilight out last year and it was very pretty... it's for the front of the house.

Although it was nice to grow them but I am cutting back from the superhots - didn't know what to do with it all.

I am looking forward to the spring too.  I saw that it will be 70's next week too.  Getting antsy to go out to get the beds & pots ready.  It's around April 15 planting out for us.

Sy

Hey, Sy. Good Luck on 2014.
Seeds from your certainly made my 2013 a banner year, Thanks again.
I'm trying the Rainbows this year as well.
And the Blue Beauty tomatoes too.

Thanks Carl...
It will be my first year growing the Rainbows, choco cherry & Blue Beauty.  Heard they have great taste.

Good luck with your grow too.  From your glog, you're way ahead of us. I will be following your glog.

No bhuts on the list?

Hi Charles,
You're going all Bhuts this season.

As for me, Bhut did not make the list this season.  Time is limited, so I trying to keep it short.
But then again, I still got time.

Thanks

Yeah, I grew way too much last year... so I'm trying to keep it a little sane with a theme...

I did too... I think the neighbors & friends are a little scare when I shared the pods.

Looking good, Sy.
I like your method of stabilizing the tomato cages. That bamboo is just so darn handy.

Thanks Carl,
Yes, bamboo's great for the job and it's free.  We have lots of them in the neighborhood. I just collect the dead ones.
looking forward to the new tomato varieties.

I'm envious of your grow... great job.

whats your soil mix its color black :)

Ryan,
mostly topsoil, with compost, sphagnum moss... nothing special.
how's your chiles doing? it's hot there, so they should be thriving.
I will be in your region next month. 4 weeks in Viet Nam to see the family.
