Mostly Dutch. However, German collonists in the early days of the US were also referred to as "Dutch", and this term is sometimes confusing for our American friends. Penssylvania Dutch, for instance, is a German dialect.

in the Netherlands on the border with Germany there is a dialect with includes German words. But nowhere in the Netherlands is German a go to language. In general the Dutch dislike speaking German because the Germans tend not to try to speak any other language then German when outside of Germany.
