Eastern US - PA and I still have nice plants!

Yippee! Right before the frost that I allowed to kill my one garden, I half hazzardly threw a large thick clear tarp over my other garden! My pepper plants look as wonderful as on a warm summer day! Just harvested tomatoes today also! The tomatoe plants don't look as good as the peppers, but that's ok.

The plants not under the tarp have been toast for weeks now. Anyways, does anyone have an idea how long these will hold out?

My Rocoto look stronger than ever, and are still pumping out pods here in Northern VA. The 29 degree nights we had a week ago didn't even faze them. I already cut down the rest of my pepper plants for OW. It's only a matter of time til we get a hard freeze. Maybe 2-3 weeks.

We had an early frost and hit 28 at night and can remember being in the thirties during the day.  It was winter!  Killed off all my plants besides my roses.

Anyways, I just want to know how long I may be safe with the tarp.  Letting my stuff grow bigger while taking a risk I imagine,
