Easy steak sauce

I don't know if you would call this a recipe, more of a preparation, I guess.

I do 1 part molasses, 2 parts dijon mustard, 3 parts ketchup, then as much of your favorite hot sauce or extract as you want.

It's easy, versatile, and delicious!

That recipe sounds as good or bad as anything out there in the steak sauce world. If you enjoy it then its all cool and the gang. I reckon I could consider myself a steak snob as a good steak should need nothing else. Then again, I'm a fool for Heinz 57 steak sauce. I know, I know. Shameful ain't it?

Split personality, TB?

Agree on a well cooked, well seasoned steak needs nothing (when served with the right sides). However I'll take a chimichurri on skirt, and au poivre on any cut, especially filet.

The generic "steak sauce" kind like this recipe, and A1, are covering up the steak taste! They are also tangy, and sweet. Not what I want for a steak.

I prefer my steak lightly seasoned, and still mooing. :halo: But if a steak is too overcooked for me, then it makes a fine vehicle for some A1 sauce. Might try to throw some together maybe...
