If anyone receives an email like this, please forward it to me at contact at thehotpepper.com. These are not from thehotpepper.com.
I can look at the headers to see if this is some bored spammer, or a member. The member will be outed and banned.

It's very unfortunate that you had to receive that type of an email, even if it was just a prank.
And I'm glad that you at least questioned it enough to not just leave the forum here for good.
This may have been a prank, but that is not what the forum and the vast majority of it's members are all about.
I have read some of your posts here and realize that you've been growing peppers for a good long while.
And I look forward to reading more of your posts, as well as learning more from whatever you are willing to share.
