Alright, here's the skinny on the Epsom Plus from Espoma. Rated 0-0-22, the guaranteed analysis is
22% Soluble Potash
11% Magnesium (Water Soluble Magnesium)
22% Sulfur
Derived from Sulfate of Potash Magnesia.
The bag goes on to mention that it's derived from the mineral langbeinite, and is all natural. For veggies, it reccomends sprinkling 1 tsp. per foot of height around the root zone, repeating monthly throughout the season. It also says "Water Soluble: Mix 1/2 cup per gallon of water. Repeat Monthly"
Holy hell, a half cup per gallon? Sounds a bit extreme, but I guess if it was for foliar feeding it would have to be more dilute for uptake and to lessen salt deposits on the leaves? I dunno. I'll probly give my plants a sprinkle when they look like they need it, and just skip the water soluble application.
Wuddaya think Potawie? It does say "Soluble Potash" and the 0-0-22 does make it seem like it's water soluble since that 22 is 22% instantly available to the plant.
Think this would be a good supplement during flowering?
