it isn't new at all actually.. it's been the farmers tool for a long time. and hydrogen peroxide is just to kill any possible negative bacteria..but also kills all bacteria including beneficial ones.

I know it isn't "new", just the "hot topic" of this year.

I was using it to keep mold/mildew down...

Sprinkle cinnamon on the surface of the soil. It is a natural fungicide. Helps prevent damping off as well!

haven't heard of cinnamon before...hmmmm...using cornmeal presently and it seems to be doing the trick...
