pics even after repoting, some top soil growth, is this normal? PICS

mostly this seems to be due to peet pellets, i continue to get this white mold ( i am assuming mold, not really sure i have read some about salt buildup). I re-potted a lot of my plants and as you can see in this first pic, the white growth returns just where the peet pellet is.

check this one out in the very left hand corner.

does everyone experience this like me, or am I doing something wrong?

looks like salt buildup to me. If it was mold, or fungus you could use some hydrogen peroxide mixture on it. Or a fan blowing on the surface will help with mold. But that looks more like salt to me.

Agreed. Looks like buildup. Are you using nutrients yet or have hard water?

I get that more often with small plants like those than with my big ones. A good full watering or 2 later, it's usually gone by the end of the week.
