everythings bigger in texas

This is my second season of growing and my wife actually started this season while I was in Iraq. My 7pods,Trinidads and Bhuts are freakin huge. Way bigger than last year. This year they are all at least 3 feet tall and the Trinidad has turned into an enormous bush. Is this normal? Last year all my peppers were about 2 feet. The heat output from these plants is seems normal enough and the PH is around 6.8 any ideas on why they are so huge or is this normal.

They know they are in Texas....soooooo....they have to get big....

we have 4 months left on the season before first frost...it seems to me that the hot weather makes them thrive...of course, what you feed them helps too...
