I had great luck germinating seeds at work! I have a CRT monitor that produces a little heat. I then took something like a pill box with a clear cover, moistened a cotton ball, made some small pockets and put a few seeds in. I closed the pockets so moisture would completely cover the seed. About a week later they started to start. As soon as the sprouting starts, place in some sort of small pot with dirt. I like the earlier idea of using a shade cloth...might be too much sun over there. Good Luck!
