Farmer Veteran Coalition and Newmans Own Foundation Crowdrise Campaign

Hello everyone! I would like to take a minute of your time to tell you about a great cause that I would like to see you get behind. The Farmer Veteran Coalition is a group I have been involved with for several years now. Their mission is to assist veterans returning home from service in establishing themselves in sustainable agriculture. The FVC is currently involved in a fundraising campaign with one of their largest supporters Newmans Own Foundation.
The Newmans Own Foundation is running a campaign consisting of 28 "teams" of organizations, all veteran related, and giving large bonus donations to the organization with the highest amount donated each week. At the end of the campaign, the winning team will also receive $75,000 from Newmans Own. All the "teams" are great organizations with good track records, doing great things for those who served their country.  While they are all great teams that I support, I ask that you consider donating to the Farmer Veteran Coalition because I have seen, first hand, the great work that they do.
In 2012 I received a grant from FVC, from an endowment made possible by the Newmans Own Foundation. This grant and other support from FVC allowed me to grow my business and move from a hobby grower to a professional grower. Now it is time that I start giving back and helping the next veteran in line. The FVC helps veterans buy land, equipment, supplies, livestock, get education and mentors. They also do a great job of getting money to the right folks and guiding them towards success.
I have seen so much giving here at the, so I thought this would be a great place to start soliciting. The campaign ends Monday, November 11, at 11:59:59 am ET. If you have a little extra, and feel like putting it towards a good cause, I strongly urge you to make a contribution.
