Fatalli Jigsaw Pepper- rumored to be new hottest in the world. Suppose to be a cross between a Moruga Scorpion and Naga Morich. Has anyone tried one yet?
 
The Fatalii Gourmet Jigsaw isn't new. It came out about 5 years ago. Despite lots of talk, it didn't get much traction and seemed to get lost in the "Reaper/Primo" hoopla. Most feedback I've heard is it's just another TSMB/7Pot superhot. Probably not the hottest - but who cares? I've never grown them.

As a cross it is now roughly a decade old but, as I understand it, it wasn't released for several years at the start.
 
This news of it being part Naga Morich is new to me but I do know that it's part Moruga and tastes a lot like a suped up one.
 
Like Jackson, I would place it in my top 3 alongside the Chocolate Bhutlah and a Jigsaw/Moruga cross. It was hotter than the Reaper by far, in my experience, but not necessarily above those 2.
 
The breed was produced by Fatalii Gourmet, a company named after one of the hottest peppers around at the time. Just like Smokin' Ed's Carolina Reaper, the chilli contains the name of the company to act as promotion for them. Even when bought elsewhere.
Unlike the Reaper, however, most people still use the full breed name.
 
Thanks for the info, and that's good to know... And it even almost makes sense. It just seems needlessly confusing... Why name your company after one variety of chile? Makes more sense to name your cultivars after your business, right?
