I`ve been lucky enough to try a number of much less well known Brazilian peppers this year and they all have really interesting traits and some similarities. This is another beauty along those lines. The colour is just flat out beautiful, although I`m not sure what colour it actually is. Apricot?Peach? Perhaps Desert Wind with a hint of Sunbathed Terracotta?
The flavour is really nice up front, with lemon/lime notes and good sweetness, followed quickly by that big Whoomp of heat typical for a lot of Brazilian varieties. The flavour and heat fade quickly to leave a really nice savoury flavor.
Great to look at, lovely to eat. What`s not to like?
