First batch of apple hot sauce

So I decided to make an apple hot sauce after giving Buddy a recipe idea using them. The first batch I gave away at a family event. We celebrate T-day 2 weeks early so the family can be back in their home states for the big day. We get together at a cabin and therefore Thanksgiving @ the Cabin Sauce

Since then this has become AppleTalli, a public friendly Apple based hot sauce. Great apple flavor with a kick.

24 Fatalli's and 30 5oz bottles.

Great on turkey and ham.

Thanks Paul. I only printed 29 of those labels and won't ever print more. The Family loved the idea even if they don't eat hot sauce, but some do.

Tabby Basco - I don't have the recipe in front of me but the decending list of ingreds is

Apple(I used half Red Delicious and half Golden Delicious), Lemon Juice, Sugar, Apple Cider Vinegar, Fatalli's, and cinnamon

Only have the label on my computer with me. I do remember I only used 24 Fatalli's to make those 29 5oz bottles. For the AppleTalli I make I use the same recipe but bottle in 8oz jars because it has a nice kick but won't kill the average person.

That is all I need for a recipe. 30 x 5 ounces = 150 oz a little more than a gallon total. gallon = 128 oz.

So add apples + peppers grind up in blender with some vinegar. add other ingredients and cook for awhile. check pH and bottle up. I never measure anything anyway. I always add my amounts that I feel are good for me and my taste buds.

Very nice.

From the look of the sauce, I can see you used a pretty generous amount of apples to to help thicken it up a bit.

I like the cinnamon idea with the apples. I will be trying this next batch.
