First creation

... and naturally, I wasn't keeping track of my ingredients as I made it. Never made my own hot sauce before, but I had a sudden craving for wings, realized I still had about eight orange habs in the fridge, so I went to work. I remember adding the habs, a mango, a bit of red onion, about six cloves of garlic, vinegar, lemon juice, a splash of Talisker 10 year, a tiny bit of Triple Sec, salt, pepper, a bit of sugar, and blending it together after cooking for a bit. I think might have even thrown in a few almonds. Don't ask. My cooking is always haphazard.

The end result is probably a bit hot for my current tolerance level (I tasted a small spoonful and was coughing and sputtering for a bit), but with a glass of milk it's manageable. A very pleasant flavor combination, which is a nice change from my usual experiments. My friends tell me my cooking often suffers from an "excess of flavor."

Wings are in the oven now. Much as I am a fan of deep-fried wings, I've been pigging out lately... I should at least attempt to be healthy.

I have to say, the Talisker is what really stands out here. Not in an unpleasant way either. I'm going to have to think about which pepper would compliment it best, as to me it is begging to have a sauce based on it.
