I am new to hot pepper gardening, although have been growing veggies off and on for quite a while. Now that I'm retired, I have become interested in gardening hot peppers. We live in the temperate Pacific Northwest, but I do use a small greenhouse for getting things going once seeds have germinated and grown out for a while, so am hoping to be able to cultivate super hots. I'm interested in overwintering a few pepper plants as well (I didn't even know they were perennials until I recently started checking sites like this one!)
I really appreciate the amount of knowledge and sharing that is contained in this forum. I checked out several, and this one seems like the ticket. I have already learned a lot about these spicy little beauties, and can hardly wait to get germinating once March gets here. I start in my gagage under a 4'/two tube flourescent fixture on my workbench. This worked well for my Poblano, Jalapeno and Serrano peppers last year, l and my interest is definitely 'piqued'!
I have never joined a forum before, so this is a new step for me!
Later: Have been having fun just cruising around this site. Have already made contact with a few people living nearby. I hope to connect with some more Pacific NW folks, especially Oregon/Washington.
