First glog

So I've been aching to do one of these since I joined. This is my third season growing peppers, it is incredible how much I've learned thanks to you guys :D It won't be the best of glogs, but it is my glog :D

I'm going with 25 plants for production and 12 decorative. Most probably the numbers will shrink as the season progresses ahahah

Update: I put a few granules of slow release fert/pesticide in each of the plugs. Basically this stuff kills earth borne insects. Hopefully we see some improvement.

PS the gnats are already here, as expected. Hopefully they will be eradicated

how do you like those small starters ? I'm trying them out this year.

To be honest on the one hand they are really good since they are sterile and can be planted whole when the plant needs repotting. But for slow growing things like peppers they suck to be honest. They don't have any nutrients, and most of my plants are already suffering before they are big enough to transplant. These trays come with plastic inserts that are like small pots and in total you can put three of those, which have 6 cells each. So 2 plants less per one tray but you get better results since you're using soil. I totally recommend these coco coir tabs if you are growing zucchini or something that just explodes in 3 days since you won't damage it
