So after being rather slow off of the mark as far as the season goes, and having 30 odd seeds germinating in a box I was deliberating as to what I should do with regards to actually growing these germing seeds. I spoke to a friend who used to grow .. ermm... rather 'tropical' plants I managed to lay my hands on a 400W HPS lamp and ballast (as well as a bubble-ponics kit which I am not using) and have come out with this set up :
There are two fans, the desk fan pointing at the light and a small PC fan aimed at the larger plants in an attempt to harden them up. What sort of temperature should I be aiming for? And also what would be a reasonable light cycle to use?
The two larger plants are cayenne pepper bought as they are from a small fruit shop, just wanted to see how they'd get on:
