First Sauce

Made my first sauce this past Sunday and I think it came out pretty good. I had four habaneros and one 7 pod Brain Strain from Cappy so I decided to give it a go. Blended up the peppers with a TBSP of white vinegar, a few carrots, some minced garlic, and some water. Cooked it for a bit and then blended it again. I didn't have any empty bottles so I had to finish off my HBD 1498 and I transported it into there after it sat in a mason jar for a few days. Below is a picture I just took while at work.

Please tell me you sanitized or sterilized the bottle before you transferred the sauce to it. Just washing it isn’t really enough for the sauce to assure that the sauce stays good. It might be ok but without knowing the ph and with only a tablespoon of vinegar in it I don’t think it's going to be in the safe zone so you'll need to keep it refrigerated. That said, good looking sauce. How’s it taste?

Yeah, I just washed it out didn't sterilize it. I have been keeping it in the fridge and with the holiday coming up it should be gone come Tuesday. It's pretty hot but that's how I like it. Tastes pretty fruity even without any fruit in it. I have some plants growing and placed some orders for some fresh pods so next time I make some sauce it will be a larger scale so I'll sterilize the containers so it will last longer and no uglies get in it.

Looks good your sauce big question is hows it taste does it have much heat too it

You taste mainly peppers since I didn't put much else in it. It's pretty hot but I can do hotter, the habaneros were from a big grocer so they weren't the hottest. I plan on doing an all Trinidad Scorpion sauce next time and maybe some Scorpion Jelly
