Found out where I'll be moving to

They need you coasties in Michigan? Well you shouldn't have any problems with most of your guns 'n such. Good luck to you.

Watch out for a crazy fat dude on a moped holding a Dr. Pepper.

They have a lot of cherries there......

I think there is a week long cherry festival in July. They also grow a lot of grapes for wine. Other then that they get a lot of snow being right on the lake.

Heaps of little lakes, ponds and streams. Southeast of there is Houghton Lake which I think might still have some pretty good pike fishing. I know deer hunting used to be pretty good. I would imagine there should be some good duckin' around as well as grouse.

THIS is what I wanted to hear! You know me too well tb!

Mom and pop were both born and raised in Michigan. Pops parents had a bait and tackle shop at Houghton Lake. Pop raced speedboats back in the 50's there. I remember as a kid, a 12 point buck pop had got one year. Beautiful part of the state. Sadly, I haven't been there since '73.

A friend of mine lived in Muskegon (about 100 miles south, on the east side of the lake). I visited him over Christmas break as well as in the summer (I was at his place when Nixon resigned!) and it was beautiful.
