is it normal for a mango seed to have multiple ?

dude, that thing's a keeper! =D
hehehe i know.. the mango from father house . very good producer. it gave use so many mango's in a season till we could not eat anymore and its very sweet too :). it actually colours/stain your hand little orangey. good beta carotene i guess.!

Mango treas are pretty productive and it's a delicious fruit fresh, but from my understanding it takes years until it give fruit. BTW there are many Mango varieties. not a huge fans of some.

we have a mango variety that we call carabao (water buffalo) mango and those things are hella sour even if you let it go super over ripe. but those things are awesome partnered with shrimp paste and some chilis. weird combination, i know but it's a local thing. it just tasty sour, salty, spicy stuff. yum. =D

most varieties are undesirable to some only because half the time we don't know what to do with them.

My three trees are covered with blossoms, hope for good crop all my trees give very large fruit and very sweet. Great tasting

well if its too sour..bite into a miracle fruit and try.. its will become very sweet :) hehehe.

Mango seeds can be polyembryonic. More so with Asian mangoes from what I've read. One of the seedlings will grow true as its parent. The others will be hybrids.

Is it mango season now?
well we get mango's all year round but it just slowed down on my father's tree after 6 months of lots of mango's!!.hehehee its flowering again. so i would be expecting more mango's in the coming months.

what do you do with them HaWaiiAl ? eat them fresh ? juice them ? put in salads? cook them ?
hehehe

Ours make a Hell of a mess. I'm not supposed to trim it, but have to as it produses better. Yes they can make more then we and all our friends here that come over can eat. The house usaly has 4 people in it half the week. Still throughing about 7 a day now in compost as going rotton. Still have green ones forming on the small tree. Will be trimming the trees always.

One thing I've found fun was they taste different on different trees. The Two we have here are better then most. But not as good as ones raise for taste. I've stopped trying most from seeds now. But have had to find ones in fruit to try to make sure great.

Does anyone know how to get Surnam cherry tree to set fruit ? We have only one old enough to set fruit. But has not fruited since we bought it. But flowers a few times a year ?

Also the Bangal Coffee is flowering, does anyone know how long till fruit ?

"Surinam cherry seedlings grow slowly; some begin to fruit when 2 years old; some may delay fruiting for 5 or 6 years, or even 10 if in unfavorable situations. They are most productive if unpruned, but still produce a great many fruits when close-clipped in hedges. Quarterly feeding with a complete fertilizer formula promotes fruiting. The plant responds quickly to irrigation, the fruit rapidly becoming larger and sweeter in flavor after a good watering."

the mango growing in our lot is better eaten while green than to let it ripe. green mangoes goes well with shrimp pastes with lots of chilis! :D

We eat most fresh off the tree, and in salads. for your cherry try fertilizer high in phosphorus supposed to promote flowering?? try it might work.
