While they both have small pods, they are two completely different kinds of peppers! ;)

CGN22795 is a wild rare C. praetermissum species pepper. It has furry leaves, and tiny red pods -

PI 260478 on GRIN is SUPPOSE to be the same as CGN22792. However, I wouldn't trust the accuracy of the description/seeds for this on USDA/GRIN, as their recent grow-out pics show a COMPLETELY different (large, pendant pods) and VERY mixed-up pepper! -

USDA/GRIN also describes PI 260478 as having pendant, fairly hefty pods (avg. 5.2 grams each, nearly as heavy as Justaguy's Yellow Bhuts here), which clearly does not match either the tiny pods in Buddy's pic, or the official description for CGN22792.

CGN22792 is a C. frutescens species pepper from Peru, also known as "Aji Chuncho". It has light green flowers, and small, erect red pods often seen with this species. Here is what it actually looks like (from CGN's own web site) -

By the way, while researching the answer to this question, on the page on the Centre for Genetic Resources, the Netherlands (CGN)'s official web site describing the scientific characteristics of CGN22792, I also spotted this photo -

Holy crap! :shocked: Chris, how did your picture get posted on CGN's official web site?! I don't think even the famed rare pepper photographer Mats Pettersson has accomplished that feat! :cool:
