Baron Von Frydad's Schnitzel Party!
I was wondering what would happen if the Germans took over the world and changed the way we eat things.
What influence would that have on dishes such as chicken and waffles??? I just had to find out.
Rather than chicken, though, I went PORK!!!
Made a Schweine Schnitzel, German beer battered, with hot apple wheat-beer reduction served over German waffles with Schneiders Wiesen Edel-Weisse in the batter.
Served on a banana leaf, of course.
The schnitzel is a pork cutlet, pounded flat, floured, beer battered, and fried crispy.
The waffle batter has eggs, sugar, flour, beer, baking powder.
The apple reduction is 2 Granny Smiths, turbinado sugar, German weisen beer, Scotch Bonnets, lemon juice.
This was so good I started yodeling (and I haven't stopped)!
