AJ, the fence runs North and South so the fence actually blocks the sun early on and watermelons need the sun and heat that is why I chose to put them furthest from the fence so they will get sun at aroun 6:30/7:00 AM. I am going to try all my other melons along the fence. Today I rigged up my trellis with string the entire length of the fence about 100+ ft.
wordwiz, I will probably be close to that when I am done. I am getting the trailor again on Friday and I will be non stop with sand, compost and top soil.
