Genetikx 2018

First time doing a glog but have followed others for years now. I don't expect monster 5' plants being just north of Chicago but I do expect to have a good time in the dirt and to neglect pulling weeds a time or twelve. The goal is grow a ton of peppers for sauce and maybe even get into powders this year.

We're currently rocking a 4' 4 tube hydrofarm T5, which I think is an awesome fluorescent. In the past I've supplemented with regular shop lights in the seedling stage and for overflow but might get another proper T5 soon. First time growing in this new house so hopeful to avoid mites, aphids, and the like. I'll end up throwing some plants in the backyard and then also claim a spot at the community garden.

Best of luck to all the awesome grows here at THP. Hope everyone has a great 2018.

Myself, I feel it's a nute issue, and not the 2-4D. Lots of cool weather and rain leach out the goodies. I switched to tomato tone, and garden tone, it doesn't leach like when I use the liquid nutes. I now shop for sales on that stuff, and load up when I find it. Now I only use the liquid for a foliar application.

Of course that's my 2 cents :shh:
I might agree except for the zig zag squiggle you can see in one of the leaves main vein. Plus a few other plants showing the same squiggle. I'll try and get a better picture next time I'm over there. Always appreciate your two cents, keep them coming!

I feel the same way about my plants, Ryan. Why aren't they bigger?! Lol. Your whole plot looks great! You're gonna be swimming in pods before you know it. Then we'll be saying, "What am I gonna do with all of these?" Lol. Damn that 2,4-D.
Thanks Adam! I keep trying to compare everything to 2015, since that was my best year. Wasn't able to do much in '16 or '17 so I keep chasing the dragon lol

Those peach habs do taste pretty great...

Been a while for an update so let's get straight to pics

Biker Billy's are doing well, going to make a sauce with them at some point and see if they still retain some respectable great

First Aji Amarillo, not sure if they have time to ripen in my climate

Andy's (not so) Chocolate Scorpion
RkBpW8s.jpg

Mustard habs -- Love them!
sDWz6Ko.jpg

A sideways Scotch Brain right on pheno, especially for early pods
oNCw3mi.jpg

Seeds from Jedi, TFM Bonnet x Yellow Pixie
J1MN8FE.jpg

Tough to see all the pods, but this is Puerto Rican Yellow, also from Jedi
y9vMijY.jpg

Jedi...2 of my Scotch Belize plants are behaving like this, other plant is right on
LaE9c56.jpg

I pulled about 10 plants that looked like BLS, and also looked like things were spreading. Cut about another 10 plants down around the Y that looked like I could ward off BLS in new growth. So I've slowed my growth but it actually seems to have helped

But why am I most proud of this? Lol

all those look correct except the belize bonnets.  I'll have to think about what they could have crossed with.

Unfortunately zero heat. Will probably use them as filler in sauces
Means they crossed with the Aji Chuchaca purple strain I got direct from Peru like i thought from where I had my plants placed last year.
