seeds GHOST PEPPER SEEDS

Been picking some ghost pepper pods for seeds and drying them. These are large pods approx 2" in length but I also have several pods that are bright red which are only one inch or so. Dou you think they are ready to be picked. I think its all with where i have tem planted that determins size of pods. Can some one clue me in?

if they are turning red they will not grow many bigger once ripening starts there is no more energy going to that pepper other than to keep it alive

They can be picked, it's up to you whether to try to pick each pepper when it becomes ripe or pick less often and more at a time. I find the latter a lot more convenient for storage and the former more convenient for use in cooking.
