Ghost Pepper Showdown!

My package of red Ghost Peppers from Pepperlover arrived yesterday, so tonight my friends and I had a good old fashioned Ghost Pepper Showdown. I want to start by saying my friends and I are not rookies in the heat game, as we have consumed damn near all of the super hot sauces (Mad Dog, Daves, Cajohns, you name it!). We cut up a single Ghost Pepper into Jalapeno sized rings and ate 1 ring each. The heat from these bad boys was unreal! It makes the hottest sauce I've ever had taste like tapioca pudding! The burn was incredibly intense, and EXTREMELY long lasting! It climbed for several minutes and stayed at peak power for at least 10-15 minutes, but it felt like damn near an hour! LOL.
I had to drink so much milk that after a while I began to feel a little sick to my stomach. I thought I might throw up, but in the end I didn't have to. One of my friends (the craziest of us all) went back for a 2nd and 3rd piece! He said that after his 3rd piece that he "felt like he was floating". LOL! He was sweating pretty damn bad, and had to lay down for a while because his stomach was so upset.

Needless to say the rest of the peppers went into the freezer for the next time we are looking to feel some unimaginable pain! I'd like to thank Pepperlover to hooking me up with such a great deal!

I video taped the whole thing, and will upload it tomorrow if anyone is interested. The only thing is my wife is a little frantic with the camera (it was her cell phone) so the video kind of reminds me of The Blair Witch Project.

1 ring? Man, my bhut has got about 20 of the little suckers growing away right now. I am getting nervous about trying these as the nutes and tomato potting mix combined with the north qld climate are making my other pods look like they are on steroids. Thanks for the review.
At the same time, it's going to get me on track for the 7-pots, trin scorps and douglah's that are also growing.

Where's the vid?

I'm having a hell of a time figuring out how to upload videos from my wife's Droid Incredible! There is a reason why I use a phone that looks like it was made in 2002. I'll figure it out sooner or later, but it might not be until tomorrow.

make sure...if you the post/link to the video on this thread instead of starting a new thread...that you go back to your original post to the advanced editor and put something in the subtitle like "video uploaded now!" so we see it's here.

Bossy lady ain't ya!

Looking forward to seeing your pain and suffering bth.

BTW - my experience has been that dry crackers are better than milk - they absorb the capsaicin in your mouth and abdomen, which helps relieve both. I recommend giving that a try next time!
