Hello everyone,
Im absolutely gutted. This morning I decided to move my 2 year old Manzano Canario plant outside. It has been producing about 40 or so golf ball sized, lovely, hot & cruchy apple like pods through out the winter but since November a mutant pod had been growing.
It has being growing at an unincredible rate and to such an extent that it was almost 4 times the size of anything else on the plant.
I was looking forward to it ripening and saving the seed that was until I accidently knocked it of the plant when moving it out side this morning.
Heres a couple of pictures to show just how big it was getting (it was almost the size of a bell pepper) The pod on the right is a Red Savina.
Unfortunately as the pod hadnt ripened, im almost certain the seeds will be duds.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I hope I can repeat the trick this year on my Big Jim plant (without knocking off the pod)
