Hey Everyone,
 
I won't be selling or sampling any of the Texas Creek sauces at the California Hot Sauce Expo in a couple weeks.  I'll only be sampling and selling Pure Evil.  HOWEVER!  if anyone wants to order some sauces, I'll waive shipping and you can pick up your order at the Long Beach expo!

PS- I'll be leaving for the show on Monday or Tuesday, July 6th or 7th.  Please place your orders by July 5th.  Preferably by July 3rd if you are ordering salsa.

Ann's salsa is awesome, but stay away from any tubs that have a XXX on them. Unless you like hallucinating.   :rofl:  :rofl:  :rofl:
 
I feel I should edit this:: There were NO drugs in the salsa but I'm pretty sure the SHU was right around 3.784268999 Million.
 
anyone who is on THP automatically gets a XXX...even if they order a Mild, they'll get a XXX instead.    :rofl:  (J/K!)
 
Thanks, geeme.  I've been waaaaayyyy too busy.  4 batches of sauces just this weekend, plus the salsa.
Heat~ just so you know, it's a refrigerated tub.  I can keep it in the cooler until the end of the show. 
 
 
For sampling, I'm going to make some Pure Evil brownies, and have some Pure Evil catsup.  Maybe some Pure Evil soy sauce, but that one is a bit of a mess as it's so watery, people tend to splash it all over the table while trying to get it on the taster spoon.  And there will be the usual Dumbasses who will want to do a drop or even a tooth pick of straight Pure Evil.  I'm more than willing to accomodate their false illusions of machisimo.  ;)  :D

other than brownies are better for crowd tastings than snickerdoodles.  :rofl:

back story- when we were developing Pure Evil, I sent out some test bottles and asked people to let me know how they were using it.  One lady made some Pure Evil snickerdoodle cookies and sent some back to me.  At the PO, I got the small box out to the Suburban and opened it.  Evan (about age 12 at the time) was in the front seat.  I opened the box and said "Oh, Cookies, Nice..."  Evan says, "COOKIES?!?!???" turns around, grabs a cookie and takes a big 'ol bite.  He gets this weird look on his face and says "Pure Evil Cookies???  What's wrong with you people?!?!???"

:rofl:  OK- I'm in a good mood, having some fun.  I've seen pics of Scott, and he's a hottie, too.  :party:
 
I gotcha for a tub or 2 and more if there's a get together before/after.
 
Getting ready for the show, making 4 batches of salsa in the last 8 days (over 550 tubs) trying to get the stores stocked up in the busiest month of the year, made 1 gallon plus a quart of Pure Evils....(THAT was scary to see!)....scrambling to get everything else done......:aaaaaagh!:
 
 
I'm off to the kitchen for that last batch of salsa~  Still have to finish up the contest trophy, I think SalsaDude will take care of that, though.

Count me in on a tub of XXX. Curious why you aren't  bringing any of your other sauces? Some stupid Cali law possibly?
 
I can't imagine they'll let you fly with enough PE to take over the plane, or enough to take over LA friggen county for that matter. :rofl:
 
Tht big ol' vat of Texas Creek Salsa looks good enough to swim in.  Wish I could get it here in Ohio  :think:

Yes, Evan and I are leaving Tuesday.  We have a couple stops in Burlington, then it's racking up the miles.  I think we'll try to get to Albany, OR the first day, Sacramento-ish Wednesday, then into LA Thursday.

SL3, I will have some sauces with me, but I'm not sampling them.  Only want ot sample out the Pure Evil.  That's kind of why I started this thread so if people want some sauces, I can bring them with me.

:rofl:  the bottles are .5 oz and smaller, so technically it would pass through TSA.  But flying with a canopy, table, hand wash station....yea,  $$$$$. 
 
Last show we went to with Pure Evil, UPS managed to damage 2 out of 4 boxes, dented about 10 tins...:rolleyes:..so for the price of shipping, we can drive and stay in hotels.
