I got'em everywhere.
 
The Pecan trees are raining pecans. All 11 trees are littered with so many pecans you can't walk under them without stepping on one. I barely picked from the two trees near the house and filled two crawfish sacks already.

Pecan, 'even just shells' used for smoking peppers can be amazing :!: ..
 
That being said, i of course mean: 'quality pecans and shells', not some rotten yard compost 
regarding yard compost though...
Even your totally rotten 'useless' pecans...
make FAR..  :!:  better compost than my Black Walnut tree's compost.  :lol:
Black Walnut trees create something called Juglone, and where the squirrels stash the nuts, where the leaves fall, where the roots grow out, etc. Many things will not grow, but random af weeds sure seem to thrive there  :neutral:
 
 
 
 
I would much rather have more than enough pecans, than;
more than enough black walnuts  :neutral:
 
Though when it comes to the wood...
Black Walnut is far superior for crafting.
 
I have had several people i didn't even know, offer to "trim" our walnut tree 'for free'  :lol:
since we moved here.
