A really interesting sauce ... the carrot taste is actually quite good ... and even though I felt almost no heat I am starting to think that my tolerance is being twisted a bit by this advent calendar ... I think this because I got MammaCass to try some after I filmed this and she said she got an instant burn on her tongue ... I tried this with lamb chops afterwards and it was a really nice complimentary flavour ... 
 
However it is a very subtle flavour and it did kind of feel like it was missing something which thinking about it this morning is probably the heat from the chillies!

There are a number of excellent carrot-based sauces my Orange Label is carrot-based for example. Nice natural sweetness balances with peppers really well IMO.

Thanks for sharing another good review. This one would definitely not be for me if you can taste roasted carrots. I can eat raw carrots all day long but I absolutely hate the taste of cooked carrots. I've had sauces with carrot as an ingredient before where its use is minimal and can't be tasted but one where it's a main ingredient and you can taste roasted carrot I probably wouldn't care for at all. Have a great one!
