I think I have a shot at this. Kentucky has grants for up to $5,000.00 for an individual to expand his production. My high tunnel is U of K design, but improved upon. Their price sheet on their plans is way, way outdated. If I were to use the money to build additional high tunnels (6 total) I could improve their price and parts list, photo and video document everything. So gotta figure since it is their design, they would like that. I think being wildly disabled would fit with there desire to give extra points to minorities. Have someone who works at U of K who can do the writing for me. Someone who knows university wording.
So what do you think? Do these things really happen? Do you think a pepper growing wanting to expand his high tunnel and shade space would be something they would like? Maybe the fact that much of the produce goes out of state, so it brings money into the state?
If you wanna lend a guy a hand, please read the link and let me know things you believe can help my chances.
