I'm thinking I might do a glog this time around ...

I'm really good about photodoc'ing, but a little lax w/ posting ...

New arrivals from CCN soaking up the negative ions and perking up after their trip down the Eastern Coast ...

If you've got some extra dried super-hot pods, you can do an alcohol extraction, then dilute with water and spray on your plants.  That should discourage #kitteh.  A dilute spray of hydrogen peroxide should take care of the algae and mold/mildew.  Something to do with all your free time...

I just made a mix for the squirrels G.

Couple a premature ghosts chopped up in 1.5 c hot water and .5 cup white vinegar. Let sit two days. Then add 1 oz cooking oil and a little squirt of dawn.

Sticks to the plants but don't hurt em.

interesting. never heard of the name, but im familiar with it. its all over the campus buildings... they put stainless steel metal strips down as borders between different patterns.

i like it alot. is it difficult to live with? scratches etc?

No, quite the opposite ...

It's stone ... it's hard as fuck and easy to maintain ...

It's cold and hard, so like, I wear flops around the house because I'm fat and it hurts to spend hours on your feet w/o the cushioning of a rubber sole ...

In the winter, it's retains the cold earth temp, and in the summer the equal and opposite is true, naturally ...

But the pattern hides dirt etc, and it's relatively impervious ...

Yeah I can only take my bare feet on a hard surface for so long until my feet hurt.

Nice comeback Grant!

I, too, am once again considering making a serious attempt at growing this year. My 2009 crop was awesome until it got killed off by something. (I've got a thread here somewhere before the glog section was introduced.) I'm thinking nutrient lock that led to soil toxicity there. It all happened at once to my six orange habs that were the pride of my grow, so still not sure what happened there. My 2010 and 2011 attempts didn't make it too far off the ground before they were devastated by a white fly infestation that was so severe it basically killed them off before I could react.

I'm doing fantastic (knock on wood) with orchids, but they are a totally different ballgame. I do miss growing peppers, and my recent research into hydroponics (something I've always wanted to do) led me into a 6 bucket DWC and 2 Kratky bucket build that's in its final stages of completion. Almost all of my seeds are of a 2+ year stock and of seriously questionable viability. I also have 8x15" and 3x12" terra cotta pots that could use something fun.

So... if you still have some of those Mystery Citrus on reserve, I'll give them a go. I'll also make sure FD gets his hands on some. ;)

Holla back and let me know.

i think they are in about a half gallon of soil at this point ...

good for about a month or two, and then they'll go into five's or ten's ...

i have a brick of conpressed coco coir and another entire promix for that step, but depending on how many thrive, i might need a second bail - time will tell ...

it's become hot, and they were thirsty - twice daily - in juanitos soil lite, lol ...
slow-cooker grub ftw ...

i'm still trying to get someone to make this ...

Looks tasty. Plants look a little sad, what did you do beat them like unwanted step children before potting up? :p  I'm sure they will bounce back once they get used to their new shoes.

couple are a bit less happy, but most already have perked up a bit ...

they play opossum here ...

I have found the shade cloth I bought this year has worked absolute wonders for the hardening off process. Start it in position to give them 2 hours of direct sun, then two days later 4 hours and so on. Now the shade cloth mainly covers my tomatoes and young seedlings.

Looking good. Where's the swine? :) Great white shark is good stuff I've used it for years with awesome results. If your not already make sure you water with it, find it works better that way then dry soil application. All the best
