I'm thinking I might do a glog this time around ...

I'm really good about photodoc'ing, but a little lax w/ posting ...

New arrivals from CCN soaking up the negative ions and perking up after their trip down the Eastern Coast ...

AH - will do! ... but what I really want to know, is how am I going to grow that indoor lettuce I've been wanting to start for 2 yrs ... I have 73-76F w/ low humidity (from the A/C running A LOT) ... any ideas?

I'm keeping a planter w/ 6x mustard habanero, and one w/ 3x + 3x of Butch T's and Yellow 7-Pots ... all of the rest of last year's I'm yanking in favor of varieties which I prefer ... and we're keeping the two planters of eggplants, only because D wishes to ...

The new seedlings are one or a pair of:

7 POT, ASSAM, BIG CHILE HYBRID, BIKER BILLY HYBRID, BONDA MA JACQUES, CHI-CHIEN, CHINTEXLE, COBRA, DATIL SWEET, FIRE, GOLDEN TREASURE, GUAJILLO, HABANERO CHOCOLATE, HABANERO RED SAVINA T, HAROLD'S ST. BARTS, HIDALGO, JALAPENO EARLY, JALAPENO JUMBO, JALAPENO M, JALAPENO PURPLE, JALORO, JAMAICAN HOT CHOCOLATE, KEY LARGO HYBRID, LAOTIAN, MARCONI GIANT HYBRID, MARCONI PURPLE, MARCONI RED, MINI RED BELL, MINI YELLOW BELL, MORUGA SCORPION YELLOW, MUCHO NACHO HYBRID, NAGA MORICH, OROZCO, REGINA'S HOTS, RELLENO, RELLENO ECUADOR SWEET, RELLENO ITALIAN SWEET, SHISHITO, SPANISH SPICE HYBRID, SUPER CHILI HYBRID, SURYANKHI CLUSTER, TAKANOTSUME, THAI RED, THAI YELLOW, TIBURON HYBRID, YATSUFUSA, YELLOW BEDDER

The second phase is the half dozen or so varieties that I'm going to grow 4-6x plants ea. of from seeds that I picked up throughout the year from my favorite pods, the reaper, and a pair from seeds from Dale from peppers I really liked from buying mixed SFRB's ...

So ... yeah ... that ...

You?

You?

Sounds good. I'd have to check my inventory list for quantities, but I have Jalapenos, Hot fish, T scorps, yellow, faria, and chocolate scotch bonnets, red savina and chocolate habs, aji lemon, some thai peppers, cayenne, a few different super hots from a mix, poblano, bhut jolokia, peach jolokia, chocolate jolokia. Some crazy chocolate scorpion/bhut jolokia cross. I think that is it.

I was going to unbox them all today, but it's breezy and they don't look like they need water whatsoever - can't imagine they consumed much water in the dark for two days, anyways ...

Still, someone asked about CCN's packaging - it's the best ...

Everyone was at attention this morning when I left for work ...

And by the time I got home, all the maters had righted themselves ...

I decided to unbox but not unwrap this afternoon, since I have to deal w/ tracking and mapping 60x different sticks w/ names etc ...

And it looks like photobucket changed their IMG format, hope this works ;)

Hmmm never grown lettuce indoors, sounds interesting. As you browse around I'm sure you'll find some ideas.

In South Tejas I plant lettuce in Sept. in the dirt and just let it go. Here it wants to bolt when it's warm, meaning we're done with lettuce, broccoli, etc. already.

They did a great job of packaging those babies....notes taken.

Good luck this year!

Well sir, you could always try growing in in the Garage with a grow light. maybe, kind of sort of something :)

Good luck with the grow.

Grant, Thanks for sharing that shipping info.
Looks like a lot of effort (and experience) went into packing the order.

Regarding lettuce indoors.... simple raft system with a handful of net pots and light source will serve you well.... let me know and i will put something together for you.
Remind me what your light source is.....

Regards, Chris

Oh, and by the way... promix rocks if you go soil

plants chillin ... hardening off ... they've had a lot of wind and some nice Florida 88F heat and humidity ...

had the first downpour of the year a couple of afternoons back ...

neverwinters are filling in ...

put a pair of maters in each 10g root pouch ...

and dropped them in between the topsy's ...

today's mission is to top off all of the topsy's with ...

little guys had to be huddled up in the car port last night to avoid being blown over repeatedly ...

going to pop most of these 48 that i've never had into the topsy's and just let them grow all intertwined again ... i don't mind the first round of a variety being throw away for having it's roots become tangled in a planter ...

that being said, i'm most excited about the planning i'm doing for the singles I'm going to be starting ... I ordered 50x 2g root pouches and i'm going to start a hundred seeds or so in the next weeks ...

fun!
