Good Day!
I am a new user, but have been lurking for some time, soaking up some knowledge from the community.
 
I am relatively new to growing peppers, have grown out plants here and there with some success last season. This year, I've taken it up several notches and have many plants started.  
 
I confess, I have been "PepperJoed"...  Basically I bought seeds from teh first vendor that came up... you know the drill.
 
That said, I realize I dont really care about the specific genetics at this point. I love growing peppers from seed to pod, and that is what counts.  Iv'e enjoyed the fruits and am ready to learn more.
 
 
Thank you to all that post up expert advice.  It's more helpful than you can imagine. I feel like I have a go to guy or girl for immediate and accurate feedback.

Welcome! I thought PJ had sold his business to some lady who was doing better? Your stuff is probably fine. I did chuckle about the rutabagas !
 
Welcome! Nice to see you here. Yes PJ sold his pepper business to a gal in MA. She calls herself Pepper Jo.
 
I have relatives in the same town where she lives, so they'll probably pick up a few seeds for me to check her out.
 
In any event, we welcome questions and there are lots of people with great info. Welcome!
 
Welcome to The Hot Pepper Gnarlypepper!  Very good forum to be a part of.  Lots of "KIND" people here who are very knowledgeable and very helpful.

And welcome GnarlyPepper.  I was brand spanking new at growing peppers two years ago, this is my 3rd dedicated season and you're right, the knowledge here is amazing and the members are always ready to help a fellow pepper lover in need.  Good luck!

Mike, I'm to the west of you in Oconee County, near Walhalla. I think we've been in touch before. Have you got your plants started yet? I've got small seedlings that are going outdoors when the temperature gets near 70. That won't be this weekend!
