Greetings from CT.

Hey all.

On a recent trip to Texas for family visiting, I absolutely fell in love with hot foods. No other way to put it, but i had never even heard of some of the hot peppers found down there in every supermarket.

When I got home i went to the store to find some of my newly favored treats and made a horrifying discovery---there were none!

I asked around all the seed stores and every place i could think of and nothing. So I figured, what the hell, ill make my own.

I figured, i have the space in the back yard, as well as a full grow setup in my basement that belonged to my grandfather. I ordered the seeds and am ready to go, and came here to just learn more about growing and enjoying this amazing food.

You came to the right place. Welcome from Fort Worth. There are several members up your way on the THP....there is a subforum titled "growing Hot Peppers". It is under the Hot Pepper forum. You can find just about any information you want there pertaining to hot peppers from germination, to lighting, to soils, to fertilize, etc. Have fun and let us know what species and variety you are growing.
