I found this site while looking for a co-packer and see it's a great resource. The replies are all from those willing to help each other so it was a no-brainer to sign up. I'm starting a company to produce for retail sale a Malaysian peanut sauce that was serve at our family's restaurant. One of the hurdles I have to cross is to find a co-packer that can handle peanuts in their facility. I'd love to hear any suggestions you may have.
 
If you aree looking for a co-packer to make a peanut sauce, there is one MAJOR thing you will have to take into consideration. As of about a month ago, the FDA has decreed that if a co-packer is bottling ANYTHING with peanuts, that co-packer will have to force everyone else he is bottling products for, whether or not their products have peanuts or not, to change their labels to say their products is made in a facility that make products with peanuts. Most co-packers are declining to make peanut products for this reason.
